English Oak Desk/Bureau

This rare William and Mary desk/bureau is a transitional piece, with its overhanging sloped front shaped as though it were an earlier 17th century desk box placed on top of a set of drawers. Original stile feet. Inside are a series of cubbies, drawers and secret compartments. Chestnut crossbanding on slant front. Unusual shape and size, lovely color and patina.

Joined oak construction hanging cupboard with pierced pattern on front and sides for ventilation for food storage. Single door in center.
